Magic Number 52

I want to preface this post by giving a quick shout-out to Victor_tor ! The original creator of a TS3 conversion of DragonSlave's Basic horse mesh, I just wanted to say thanks for putting all the hard work into converting this lovely object first and inspiring me to learn to do the same!

That being said, as I began to play TS3 more, I found myself wishing I had a few more color options for my horses, so that my pastures didn't look full of clones! So I decided to make a Master conversion of every single one of DragonSlave's original recolors for her mesh. All 51 of them. @_@.

So here it is! A *complete* conversion of DragonSlave's basic horse meshes for TS3, containing every single one of her original recolors, plus my special bonus recolor, for a sum total of 52 different color choices for your stables! <3 This set does *not* contain the Basic Horse Pose (0), it's been having some texturing issues (and its on the boring side anyway!).  ;) If I ever do get it to work, it'll be posted on the blog as well!

Set contains 10 unique poses.

Poses Include:
1) Standing Quietly
2) Standing Alert
3) Show Halter
4) Standing Neck Turned
5) Grazing
6) Standing Alert, Legs Offset
7) Walking
8) Trotting turn
9) Walking, Looking Up
10) Walking Head Down

So...

What is this?
A conversion of DragonSlave's Basic Horse Poses
A *complete* collection of *ALL* of Dragon Slave's recolors
And a special recolored edition created by me here at Vicarious-Sims

Which means a lovely 52 color options for you to play with to your hearts content!

  4. I just really want to tell you how grateful I am. I have been trying to download multiple different objects off of modthesims and nothing was working. I was so frustrated. Suddenly I remembered someone named glitzyangel from the sims 3 website who had made a wildcat reserve. I was wondering where she got them from and I got a link to sims3-modeli. Well I was searching around on there and found some of your horses, which at first made me anger because I wouldn't be able to download them. Well I followed the horses to your site and decided I'd try to download one set. Well, bob's my uncle, it worked! Now I've downloaded many and just love them so much. Thank you for making downloading so easy! :-)

  5. Lilypup: I'm so glad that I was able to help you out - the main reason I made have this blog was that I had had so much trouble hunting down horses for TS3 on my own, that I thought it might be nice to put all my conversions in one spot for people to easily find. :D

    You're more than welcome!

  6. Hey, been having some install problems and cant find a guide on your site. Help me out?

  7. Should be pretty straight forward since I use .sims3packs . Download the file, open it with WinRar or something similar to extract the .sim3packs, then place them in your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder and install via the Installer.

  11. NO MORE RAR FILES PLEASE?!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I cant put it in my game! I have the Rar program and everything, and the game doesnt regonize it and yes its SIMS 3. If only if it was a zip.

  13. Anon: .Rar vs .Zip would not make a difference in the file installing if you are extracting the files correctly.

Sims 3 cannot read .zip or .rar extensions. If you are installing the .zip or .rar into your downloads folder, that's problem right there. Open the .rar extension with Winrar and extract the .sims3packs from there. Place the .sims3packs in your downloads folder. The game should recognize them.

  14. @Vicarious.sims: Listen, sims 3 CAN read zip files, I downloaded the show poses and it was a zip file and sims 3 READ IT. Ik what im doing.

  15. Hey Anon, you listen.

Sims 3 cannot detect compressed files with the Sims 3 directory. It CANNOT. AT ALL. CANNOT. Do you understand what I am saying?

Sims 3 can ONLY read PACKAGE files and SIMS 3 PACKS.

Now I don't mean to sound entirely rude, but if you know what you're doing, why are you having problems? :)

    Stop bitching. Please gtfo. kthxbye.
